Combine that with people trying to sprawl out in what few chairs are there, and it's impossible to walk normally or have an isolated/peaceful experience. The LA lounge is overly cramped with hardly any space for people to store their carryons - so they block the sole narrow walkway/path to what little space is there. (Well, I can't argue that paying for food is better than getting it for free.)īUT, in terms of overall lounge (relaxation) experience - I argue it's actually more peaceful (albeit, less comfortable) if you can find an empty chair in the terminal. I spend 100.00% of the subscription benefit (NYT 20/month, gets me the athletic also, worth every penny), the uber benefit ( 240200*/yr, I've never had a month be slow enough that I didn't uber somewhere or order from uber eats once) I buy something on sale from Sax every 6 months (50/half year), hell I even get paramount+ by having amex pay walmart (14/month they pay them, but it's only worth 6/month to me as paramount is only 6 by itself). Fwiw it's not 700/yr or even >0/yr if you make good use of the benefits
